Reference¶
For looking things up: these pages describe Agent Kourier's resources, settings, metrics and stored data, completely and without instructions. The resource and Helm value pages are generated from the source, so they match the code.
Resources¶
API group agentkourier.dev/v1alpha1. All three kinds are namespaced. The Helm chart installs them as custom resources by default
(config.source: crds) and the broker reads them from the cluster; with config.source: files it reads them from YAML files, usually a mounted ConfigMap,
for a proof of concept.
| Kind | Configures | Typical owner |
|---|---|---|
| Binding | An agent, its service identity, and the channel connected to it | Application team |
| AgentBackend | The agent endpoint, its dialect, and the namespaces allowed to use it | Platform team |
| ChatConnection | The chat platform connection and its Secret | Platform team |
With custom resources a Binding also has a status, which Binding status describes: its conditions, their reasons and what
observedGeneration says.
Agents¶
- Agent contract: what an agent must do beyond speaking A2A: methods, message shape, replies, task states and errors.
Configuration¶
- Helm values: every value of the chart, with its default.
- Command line and environment: the binary's environment variables, flags, subcommands and exit codes.
- Chat triggers: what starts a turn, and what the
botMessagetrigger does.
Operation¶
- Metrics: every Prometheus metric.
- Logs and traces: trace settings, span attributes and what a log line carries.
- Stored data: what is kept, for how long, and what never is.
- Limits: the limits you can run into on what Agent Kourier accepts, reads, shows and waits for, what happens past each, and whether a setting changes it.
- Glossary: the terms these pages use.
